I'm Maximilian Schwarzmüller
I'm a software and web developer as well as online course instructor with years of experience working with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, Node.js and many other technologies.
I started at the age of 12
You might think that I learned to code at university — but you'd be wrong!
Because I originally studied “Business Administration & Economics” in the beautiful city of Passau from 2008 to 2011, followed by a Master in Business Adminstration in Munich from 2011 to 2014.
Obviously, that's not how I became a developer or online course instructor. Though, those courses definitely helped me with establishing my companies and becoming an entrepreneur.
Instead, I developed a passion for computers & programming back
when I was 12 years old.
I taught myself HTML, CSS and JavaScript and started building
basic websites around 2001.
Of course, back then, those technologies weren't too much fun to
work with.
And learning to code was pretty tough because I didn't
have internet access back then.
And even if I would've, there
wouldn't have been much to find on the internet, I guess.
But thanks to books and a lot of trial & error, I taught myself how to work with those technologies. And over all those years, I followed up those early steps by learning C, Java and C#.
Nowadays, I primarily focus on web development but my general passion is coding and everything that's related to it!
Being a self-taught developer, I know the struggle of learning to code — that's why I absolutely love teaching and why I'm extremely excited that I was able to teach more than 2 million people how to code!
But there's more than coding
As you can probably tell from the previous section, I'm a passionate developer. But I also love to do other things!
Whilst I've been heads down creating courses over the past years, I also love to travel, cook (and eat!), do sports and spend time with my friends and family. Oh, and I like video games!
I also love to read books, both fiction and non-fiction. I'm a huge fan of the “A Song of Ice and Fire” series, I love adventure books (especially in historic settings) and I enjoy reading productivity books, and, in general, books that broaden my horizon and give me inspiration and new ideas.
